Jordan Raskopoulos

Jordan Raskopoulos (born 25 January 1982 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian comedian best known for his role as a writer and performer on the Network Ten sketch comedy show "The Ronnie Johns Half Hour" as part of the comedy troupe "The 3rd Degree." [ [http://www.ronniejohns.com/ The Ronnie Johns Half Hour ] ] He has also appeared in the TV1 sitcom Stupid, Stupid Man, Stand Up Australia on The Comedy Channel and has provided voices for the ABC2 machinima series "The Team".

Raskopoulos began his comedy career at Sydney University appearing as a stand-up comic, improvisor and actor at many university comedy events most notably the yearly Arts faculty revues. Jordan was, and still is, a regular performer for Impro Australia's Belvoir St Theatre Theatresports competitions. He appeared, dressed as Batman (in the 1960s grey outfit, but without a cowl), on posters for the 2006 Cranston cup.

Jordan fronts the musical comedy trio The Axis of Awesome. The group recently received a lot of media attention after the release of their songs parodying the 2007 Australian federal election and received a Moosehead award for the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Raskopoulos has performed in past years at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in shows such as "The 3rd Degree: Eskimos with Polaroids", "Scrabble Unscripted", "Chopper's Bingo" and "The Adventures of the Man with the Dominant Claw". In 2008 he performed alongside The Axis of Awesome, in "The Axis of Awesome Comeback Spectacular"
