Koma Dengê Azadî

Koma Denge Azadi (Voice of Liberty) was one of the most popular Kurdish music bands [http://www.kurdshow.com/?sf=haber&haberid=1859&ktg=1562] in Turkey. The band was created in 1990 in Istanbul and over the next ten years it became one of the most important and most successful Kurdish bands [http://ku.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koma_Deng%C3%AA_Azad%C3%AE] .

Like other Kurdish bands of the 90's, Koma Dengê Azadî adopted a style which was completely new for the Kurdish music scene. They reinterpreted the traditional Kurdish Folk Music in a modern form with particular appeal to the young generation of Kurds and Turks.
