Biff Benedict Pocoroba (born July 25, 1953 in Burbank, California) is a former Major League Baseball catcher, who also played a few games at third base.

Standing at 5-feet-10 and 180 pounds, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 17th round of the 1971 amateur draft.

As a rookie, Pocoroba got attention during spring training in 1975 by throwing out 11 straight would-be base stealers. [http://www.baseballlibrary.com/baseballlibrary/ballplayers/P/Pocoroba_Biff.stm] He made his major-league baseball debut on April 25, by|1975, as a defensive replacement in the Braves' 5-3 loss to the San Diego Padres at San Diego.

His best season was in by|1977 when he achieved career-highs with 123 games, a batting average of .290, 8 home runs, 24 doubles, and 44 runs batted in. In by|1978, he made the National League All-Star team, finishing the season with a .242 batting average, 6 home runs, and 34 RBI in 92 games.

For the record, 'Biff' is not a nickname, but his given name.
