Ann Turner Cook (born 1926) is a mystery
author and formerhigh school English literature and writing teacher. She was the model for the Gerber baby logo on baby food jars of the Gerber brand. Daughter of cartoonist Leslie Turner, a 4-month-old Ann Cook was used as the model for a charcoal drawing by neighbour Dorothy Hope Smith. In 1928, when Gerber announced it was looking for baby images for its upcoming line of baby food, Smith's drawing was submitted and subsequently chosen.
