The school was constructed in 1969 when two high schools were needed to serve the growing population. In 2010, the freshman class was re-instituted as part of the high school instead of the Junior High. As part of the conversion process a referendum was passed in the village to update and expand the current facilities. The renovations were performed by CG Schmidt.[3] Updates included a new gym, as well as administration and science wings totaling 71,600 square feet.[4]
The high school mascot is currently the Indians and has been associated with secondary schools in Menomonee Falls since 1892. School colors are burgundy and gray.
Notable alumni are Andy Hurley of the band Fall Out Boy and Jessica Szohr, who currently depicts Vanessa Abrams in the CW's Gossip Girl. A notable current student is J. P. Tokoto, second student in school history to be offered Division I basketball scholarship. He has made a verbal committment to North Carolina.[5]
