Sandan-kyō is a 16-kilometer long ravine along "Shiwaki River" in
Akiota, Hiroshima , one of tributaries of the famousŌta River in Hiroshima, Japan.Sandan-kyō is a part of
Nishi-Chugoku Sanchi Quasi-National Park .Sandan-kyō is famous not only for autumn leaves and maples but for all seasons.
Access
There was
Sandankyō Station on JRKabe Line , but the services between Kabe Station and Sandankyō Station, has stopped due to the decrease in total passenger numbers fromDecember 1 ,2003 .Current access
By car
*Expressway:Take Chugoku Expressway, and exit at Togouchi I.C. and take Route 191.
*National road:Take Route 54 and take Route 191 from Kabe.
By bus
*Hiroden Bus Services
**Express bus::FromHiroshima Bus Center orYokogawa Station , Take Express bus to Sandan-kyo bus stop (terminal). It takes one hour and ten minutes from Hiroshima Bus Center.**Local bus::From Hiroshima Bus Center, Yokogawa Station or Kabe Station, Take local bus to Sandan-kyo bus stop (terminal). It takes two hours from Hiroshima Bus Center.
