The Black Pine consists of Mitch Cichocki (guitar, lead vocals), Jason Bacher (bass, vocals) Emma Ka Cichocki (drums, vocals), and
Andrew Lynch (keyboards).The band formed in 1999 and played their first show in 2001 at a local Los Angeles club Spaceland with seminal indie rockersLou Barlow andChokebore . In the Summer of 2002, they released their first E.P. entitled "The Sexlife of Flowers". They worked with actor/directorAdam Goldberg scoring two of his films including "Running with the Bulls ", which premiered on theIndependent Film Channel in 2003, and "I Love Your Work ", which starredChristina Ricci ,Giovanni Ribisi ,Jason Lee , andFranka Potente . The Black Pine also played as the backup band for comedienneSarah Silverman 's one woman show, "", performed at Second City in Los Angeles and The Canon Theater in Beverly Hills, California. They released their second album, "With Us", on the independent label, The New Black, founded by local Los Angeles band, The Antarcticans.Discography
