Jane Abraham (b. Sept. 28, 1961) is an American politician from the U.S. State of
Michigan . She has currently been serving as Vice-Chairman of theMichigan Republican Party since April, 2006. A successful businesswoman, political activist and mother of three, Jane Abraham is a longtimeMichigan Republican Party leader. Born inDetroit , Abraham was educated in the Detroit and Warren, Michigan public schools. She attendedOakland University and graduated from that institution in 1981 at the age of 19. In addition to attaining academic honors at Oakland, Abraham was also President of the university's student government in her senior year.Following college, Jane Abraham held a number of senior positions with the
Michigan Republican Party , theRepublican National Committee as well as theMichigan State Senate . Her assignments included serving as the national party's liaison to state and local government and overseeing grass roots party building at local, state and national levels.Jane Abraham is the mother of twin daughters Julie and Betsy, and son Spencer. She is married to
Spencer Abraham , formerUnited States Senator fromMichigan and formerUnited States Secretary of Energy under PresidentGeorge W. Bush .Abraham is the Founder and President of Abraham Strategies, a small business that handles strategic marketing assignments for a variety of clients. She also is the General Chairman of the
Susan B. Anthony List, a not-for-profit membership organization with over 100,000 members and a connected Political Action Committee that supports pro-life political candidates and issues. Under Abraham's leadership the organization has become one of the more significant sources of financial and grassroots support for political candidates in America.From 1995-2001, Jane Abraham served as an unpaid advisor and surrogate for her husband. Her efforts took her to nearly every Michigan county and hundreds of Michigan communities.
