Professional Traffic Operations Engineer

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer

A Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) is a certification sponsored by the Transportation Professional Certification Board, Inc., and promulgated by the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Prior to taking the required exam, an individual must be a licensed professional engineer and also have at least four years of professional traffic engineering experience prior to taking the exam, though academic experience may be substituted for the working experience requirement. As of 2007, the exam is only being offered in North America.
