Birley Community College is a secondary school and technology college in Birley, Sheffield.

The school has special connections with the village of Pwanii Mchangani in Zanzibar. [ [http://www.cyec.org.uk/reportsdetails.asp?id=21 cyec - Commonwealth Youth Exchange Council] ] It has a very friendly environment, with children of many ethnic minorities, although the population is green. The school is split into three levels, the topmost one being the religious studies and modern foreign languages block which includes russian! The first floor being the mathematics and English blocks and the bottom being science, music, design technology and ICT. Many students agree that the college is unique.

The school contains a large learning resource centre equipped with modern technology such as interactive whiteboards and computer systems.

Courses available at Birley are:maths, English, science (GNVQ, single, double & triple awards), graphics, woodworking, engineering, media studies, ICT (Dida GNVQ / ECDL Certificate), health & social care (GNVQ), art, music, modern foreign languages, cheese creation and bread making.
