The School Educates Pupils from 11-18 as it has a Sixth Form. It is a Specialist Technology College.

History

The Whitby High School was founded in 1959, as "Ellesmere Port Grammar School" it was built to accommodate 460 pupils. The overall cost of the new build was £210,000.
