Al Anderson (born 1947 in Windsor, Connecticut) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwiter. Between 1971 and the early 1990s, he was the lead guitarist in the rock band NRBQ, also releasing several solo albums. In the 1990s, Anderson shifted his focus to country music, writing hits for Carlene Carter ("Every Little Thing"), Vince Gill ("Which Bridge to Cross (Which Bridge to Burn)", "Next Big Thing"), Aaron Tippin ("Without Your Love"), Diamond Rio ("Unbeliavable"), Trisha Yearwood ("Powerful Thing"), Tim McGraw ("The Cowboy in Me"), Jimmy Buffett and Martina McBride ("Trip Around the Sun"), Hot Apple Pie ("We're Makin' Up") and songs for other country artists.
