Winifred Holt

Winifred Holt

Winifred Holt (born November 17, 1870 in New York; died June 14, 1945 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts) was an U.S. sculptor and welfare worker with special attention to the blind.

Winifred and her sister Edith were children of Henry Holt, a publisher.

In 1905, the sisters founded "The Lighthouse", which was merged into the New York Association for the Blind in 1906, an organization which is today known as Lighthouse International.

Winifred was awarded the French Legion of Honor.
