Jason OttyThe Stairs were an English rock band formed in
Liverpool during the early 1990's by vocalist and bassist Edgar Summertyme, and included Ged Lynn onguitar , Paul Maguire ondrum s, and Jason Otty onharmonica . Together they released one full-lengthalbum and a clutch of ep's and singles. Their influences wereBeat music ,Blues Rock ,Psychedelia , andGarage Rock .In spring 2008, it was rumoured that The Stairs were on the verge of reforming but when frontman and founding member Edgar Jones was approached, his only response was 'Teradactil Rovers'.

Since the break up of The Stairs in the mid 90's, Edgar Jones has worked with Paul Weller,
Johnny Marr (an early version of The Healers), St Etienne andLee Mavers (of fellowLiverpudlian bandThe La's ), as well as forming 'The Big Kids' who featured two of the futureZutons and Howie Payne ofThe Stands .Ged Lynn formed with The Living Brain, starting as an acoustic duo with Lars Gabel pre 1997, and later adding Tom Sumnall, James Pagella, and Matt Lord. The band folded in late 2000. They contributed two tracks to "
Get Serious '97 ", a collection of material fromMerseyside artists. The Living Brain also released two albums: "Life Sentence On Planet Earth " (Medical Records 1999), and "Bad Present Day " (Medical Records 2000). Lynn then formed Rhombus of Doom with Lee Webster in 2000.Discography
