Gas factory

In computer programming, gas factory is an anti-pattern characterized by excessive complexity. The term refers to petroleum refineries, where complexity is also an issue. This pattern may arise as a result of insufficient planning, outlining or an attempt to look brilliant using obscurity as a shield from critics.
