Richard Prout

Mr Richard Prout - otherwise known as Prouty - (born 1967), is a British serial entrepreneur.

He has a degree in computing from Manchester University where he was sponsored by Intel.

He then worked for European Silicon Structures Ltd, a UK company that pioneered the commercialisation of e-beam direct write on silicon technology, where he developed an Artificial intelligence system for laying out the floor plan of silicon chip designs.

He later moved to Satellites International Ltd where, with Nigel Blower and Guy Watson, he designed the engineering model of the European Space Agency Solar and Heliospheric Observatory ground station software. He then worked as a director under the chairmanship of Gordon Olson at Kinesis Computing, which was sold to Coopers & Lybrand.

He subsequently founded Intracus Ltd, SmartGroups.com, Smarte Ltd, Gliant Ltd, Solution Foundry Ltd and 1791 Diamonds Limited, and is presently working on optimal money management mechanistic value investing systems, automate online gambling systems,a new social network project and an online diamond jewelery venture.

Richard's company company, Solution Foundry Ltd, won the BG Group plc Chairman's Award for excellence 2007.
