Ward Miller

Ward Miller

Ward MacLaughlin Miller (born 29 November 1892, in Portsmouth, Ohio; died March 11 1984, in Portsmouth) was an American politician of the Republican party.

Miller earned his high school diploma from Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, Ohio. In 1923, he earned a bachelor of arts degree from Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio). In 1931, he was awarded a master of arts degree by Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.).

In 1960, when Democratic U.S. Rep. James G. Polk died in office, Miller was chosen in a special elelection to complete Polk's term. He did not stand for re-election in 1960.

Miller served as a U.S. representative from Ohio from 1960 to 1961
