Epilogue (band)

Epilogue (band)

Epilogue was an early 1990s progressive rock band from Stoke-on-Trent. They released "Just Killing Time", a cassette album, on their own label and the album "Hide" on Cyclops Records in 1994.

Members

*Gareth Evans - Guitar
*Scott Evans - Bass Guitar
*Chris Frost - Keyboards
*Shaun Lowe - Vocals/Drums

A later line-up of the band featured Dave Lythgoe on bass guitar and Craig Hine on Drums, with Shaun Lowe switching to guitar/vocals. This line up played numerous gigs supporting the likes of "IQ (band)" in Rotherham, "The Enid" and "Grace" at "The Wheatsheaf" in Stoke, "Jump" at "The Half Moon" in Putney, London, and some legendary and memorable headliners at "The Limelight" in Crewe and "The Wheatsheaf" in "Stoke-on-Trent" and also their 1994 "Pink Floyd" Earls Court and 2007 "Genesis" stadium appearances (although this was as members of the audience and not necessarily at the same shows).

Contrary to some recent rumours, the Frost/Hine/Lowe/Lythgoe line-up are not planning to reform - be it in the studio, on stage, or in the "Curry House" - at this moment in time. But never say never...especially to the "Curry House".

When asked about this, no band members were available for comment. Or a curry.

Fortunately the rumours of drummer Shaun Lowe's demise were quashed at an Epilogue press conference in Stoke-on-Trent on 2nd April 2006.Fact|date=February 2007

There have been further recent rumours of an Epilogue reunion in the wake of the formation of Stoke-based prog-rockers "High Spy" and their search for suitable support acts for a (once again) rumoured "Progfest" to be held in the near future.

As before, none of the members of Epilogue were available for comment. Or a curry. However, it would seem that a reunion may well be on the cards to commemorate the forthcoming 15th Anniverasry of the release of the seminal "Hide" album in 2009.

However, the band don't know about it yet. Nor do the "Curry House".Fact|date=February 2007

There is also a rumour of a re-mastered and re-packaged version of "Hide" set for release to mark the 15th Anniversary. This will include a second disc featuring out-takes and live tracks combined with a live DVD. However - as there aren't any out-takes and there isn't any known live footage - this might prove a little difficult.
