Associated Supermarkets

Associated Supermarkets

Associated Supermarkets is a retailers' cooperative of grocery stores based in New York City, with locations in Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and New Jersey. The Associated name has been in existence for over 50 years.

In 2001, Associated Supermarkets and another grocery chain, Gristede's, stopped advertising in the New York Daily News after the paper ran a series of articles critical of the grocery stores' lack of cleanliness.
