Jeff Shreve is an American
public address announcer for theCleveland Browns of theNational Football League and the former public address announcer of theCleveland Cavaliers of theNational Basketball Association .Shreve began duties as full-time public address announcer at the beginning of the second season of existence of
Gund Arena in the1995-96 NBA season . He was replaced byRonnie Duncan after the2004-05 NBA season .During a memorable game in 2003, Shreve told the arena crowd in Cleveland to stay calm after
Ron Artest (then of theIndiana Pacers ) made obscene gestures to the audience.
