June 4 1952 atAmel ,Belgium ), is ajurist and politician, currently the leader (Minister-President ) of the community executive of theGerman-speaking community of Belgium . He is noted for voicing an outspoken demand for his community, numbering about 70,000 aroundEupen , to be separated fromWallonia and be recognised as a separate region ofBelgium .On July 17, 2008, he was one of three senior Belgian politicians commissioned by
