Jahine Arnold (born
June 19 ,1973 inRockville, Connecticut ) is a formerNational Football League wide receiver . He was #80. He played for thePittsburgh Steelers in 1996 and 1998 and for theGreen Bay Packers in 1999. The 6'-0", 187 pound receiver went toFresno State . He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the1996 NFL Draft . In 1996, he played in 9 games. He had 6 receptions for 76 yards and had no touchdowns. He did not play in 1997. In 1998, he played in only three games. In those three games, he had no receptions and no rushes. In 1999 he played one game for the Packers, again with no receptions and no rushes. Basically a player who was a preseason star, had world class speed, and unlimited potential was set back by unfortunate badly timed injuries. Went on to participate in the XFL's first and only season. Then joined the AFL's Tampa Bay Storm in the 2002 season, Los Angeles Avengers in 2003, and the Austin Wranglers in 2004. Retired from football in 2004.Living in Tampa, FL since 1999. This ex NFL player now deals with a progressive liver disease. (PSC) Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. The same ailment that claimed the life of the great Walter Payton in 1999.
