James Richard Beaumont

James Richard Beaumont

James Richard Beaumont, was a character that appeared in the later seasons of the popular American television series "Dallas", played by Sasha Mitchell (1989-1991).

James Beaumont was J.R. Ewing's illegitimate son and John Ross' half brother from his affair with his true love, Vanessa Beaumont. James came to Dallas to seek out the father he never knew he had. However, James quickly learns J.R.'s true nature when J.R. tries to control James' business dealings and breaks up James' relationship with Michelle. Seeking revenge on J.R., James conspires with J.R.'s wife, Cally and blocks J.R.'s release from an insane assylum.

James eventually marries Michelle, but he later learns that his first marriage to Debra Lynn was never dissolved. Further, Debra Lynn had his child, James Richard Beaumont, Jr. (nicknamed "Jimmy"). James decides to stay married to Debra Lynn and annuls his marriage to Michelle. In the end, James, Debra Lynn and Jimmy decide to move back East to escape the control of J.R.
