Ilya Pyatetskii-Shapiro (born 1929) is a mathematician, well known for contributions to the theory of
Fourier series ,bounded homogeneous domain s and associateddiscrete group s,automorphic form s, andalgebraic geometry . Born into a Jewish family in theUSSR , he emigrated toIsrael . He has held professorial positions atTel Aviv University andYale University .He was awarded the
