- Soundwalk (audio tours)
A Soundwalk is a commercial audioguide inspired by the works of Chris Hardman, Janet Cardiff and Hildegard Westerkamp.
Principle
Whereas the
audioguide limits itself to a description of the visited places, a Soundwalk is based on a film-like scenario narrated by a real local insider. It includes a music soundtrack, as well as the recording of the actual ambience corresponding to the place in which the listener is walking - so that it is never possible to distinguish whether what's heard comes from the Soundwalk or is actually happening in reality.
Also, a Soundwalk has to follow a precise timing, so that the listener can walk naturally at the rhythm of the Soundwalk.
