Kitab ( _ar. کتاب) is the Arabic word for
book . The word is also used in the Persian,Swahili (as "kitabu"), Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, and Turkish (as "kitap") languages. It is part of titles of many Arabic language books. Some prominent examples are:*
