Mojo Gurus Origin ? Genres Hard Rock, Blues Rock and Rock n Roll Years active ? Associated acts Fraidy Katt, Roxx Gang, L.A. Guns Mojo Gurus are an American rock band that originally featured singer Kevin Steele, guitarists Stacey Blades and Jeff Vitolo, bassist Vinnie Granese, and drummer Tommy Weder, all of whom also played as Roxx Gang. Blades, Jeff Vitolo and Tommy Weder have since left the band. The guitar playing is now being handled by long time friend Doc Lovett. Doc formerly led the Tampa Bay area band known as Doc Lovett and the Blues Punks, which at one time included Gurus bassist Vinnie Granese. Tampa, Florida native Mark Busto (formerly of Secret Service, Likeshine and Sugarspoon, among others) is now manning the drum seat. In December 2009 The Mojo Gurus opened for the Joe Perry Project. In November 2008 The Mojo Gurus signed a multi-album record deal with True North Records. The Toronto-based label is distributed by Universal Records in Canada and by Koch Records in the United States.
