Vulgarian National Anthem

Vulgarian National Anthem

"Vulgarian National Anthem" (or "The Vulture of Vulgaria") was originally written for the 1968 musical film, produced by Cubby Broccoli called, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" but was cut almost entirely from the final edit of the film. The musical theme is still heard in the film when the Vulgarian Zeppelin lands in Vulgaria. The song was written by Robert B. Sherman & Richard M. Sherman.

The song, in its entirety can only be found in the 2002/2005 musical stage play, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". A recording of the song exists on the Original London Cast album.

Musical Resurrection

The song was resurrected for the 2002 stage production of the same name and was fashioned into a big musical number at the top of the second act. It was choreographed by Gillian Lynne. The stage musical was directed by Adrian Noble.
