Robert Vigil

Robert Vigil (born October 26 1953) is the former treasurer of the State of New Mexico indicted on 28 counts of extortion, money laundering and racketeering. [http://www.freenewmexican.com/news/42916.html] He was found not guilty of all but one of these charges [http://www.kobtv.com/snapshotskob/html/28074.html] . The trial was the result of a two-year long FBI investigation of financial improprieties suspected of Vigil, his predecessor as Treasurer Michael Montoya and others responsible for investing money for the State of New Mexico. A highlight of the trial was a video [http://www.freenewmexican.com/news/34236.html] of Vigil taking $2000 in cash.
