- Windhexe
A windhexe is an
industrial waste processing machine. It uses high-speed air to turn the waste into a fine powder (often cited examples being: shoes, concrete, old tires). Current applications include the processing of waste from poultry operations. Windhexe was invented byFrank Polifka .The machine is a variation on the Hilsch vortex tube.
The name is German, literally meaning "wind witch".
