Esanai is an idyllic village 50 miles east of
Trichy ,India coming under theSendurai taluk inPerambalur district. It is mainly known for its famousAyyappan temple that is visited by thousands of people from far-flung places across India and abroad. The main economy of the village is in farming sugarcane and rice. The village is one among the poorest in the state, and development is yet to get in full swing in it, though cellphones, Television, Motorbike have become common.Also, one more village named Esanai in the Perambalur district limits. This village Esanai is 8 km away from Perambalur city. Esanai is on the way to Attur from Perambalur. So buses are very frequent say every 3 mins from Perambalur. Nearest airport is Trichy (50 km) and nearest railway station is Ariyalur (35 km). This village is known for its agriculture. Rice, sugar cane, onions, cotton, chillies, malt, etc, are major plants produced by this village. This village has few lakes and plenty of green mountains on all the side of village limits. Also, it has few temples especially Mariyamman, Perumal and siva temples are very popular. Every year mariyamman car festival celebrated in grant manner in the summer. Nearby tourism places:

The main way to reach this plac is via Trichy. From Trichy or
Lalgudi take a bus towards Tirumanur or Thiruvayaru and get down at Alandur-Mettur. Alternatively you can take a bus toPullambadi from where you can get local buses going to Alandur Mettur. From here it is a two mile walkRailway
From Chennai take a train to Dalmiapuram or Tiruvaiyaru and then take a taxi to Esanai
