- White Wolf Fault
The White Wolf Fault is a fault in southern
California , located north of the intersection of theSan Andreas Fault and theGarlock Fault , and north of theTehachapi Mountains . It is classed as a reverse (vertical motion) fault with a left lateral (sinistral ) component. The White Wolf fault was the source of theJuly 21 ,1952 Kern County earthquake (M=7.3), the second largestearthquake in California during the 20th century.External links
