Bowman Foster Ashe

Bowman Foster Ashe (April 3, 1885 - December 16, 1952) was a U.S. educator who served as the first president of the University of Miami [cite web

An alumnus of Mount Union College and the University of Pittsburgh, Ashe was initially hired by the university to oversee the institution during its challenged infancy. He would remain president until his death in 1952 [cite web
