- Louis Armand
Louis Armand was born in Cruseilles (
Haute-Savoie ) onJanuary 17 1905 and died onAugust 30 1971 inVillers-sur-Mer . He was a French engineer who managed several public companies and had a significant role duringWorld War II as an officer in the Resistance. He is unrelated to the Australian poet who publishes under the same name.Biography

* created the Société du tunnel sous la Manche in 1957
* from 1958 to 1959, co-manages the European atomic energy commission with Conor Quilligan (Euratom )
