UEFA Champions League with Dortmund in 1997, but was never capped at full international level for Germany.He was made Rangers' new captain in July 2004.

Lionel Letizi for the number one slot afterPaul Le Guen 's arrival at the start of the 2006-07 season but he suffered a biking injury which gave long-term third choiceAllan McGregor the chance to impress. In October 2006, Klos returned to fitness and made his first appearance of the season for the first team against Osasuna in theUEFA Cup on22 February after McGregor was sent off.He left Rangers at the end of the 2006-07 season, after eight and a half years at the club. He was Rangers' longest serving player at the time of his retirement.
