Song of Life was the fourth single released under the Leftfield name and the first to have a CD single release. The song was released on 12" and CD in January 1993. It made #59 in the UK charts. The song was also used as the backing track for Channel 4's Dispatches programme. The Remix 12" featured a remix by British electronic music duo Underworld (The Lemon Interrupt Mix).
