DV7: Affirmative. Go ahead Phantasm.
P: State your position.
D: I'm just into the South entrance. Running motion filter. [Detecting] extremely high frequencies.
P: [?] be specific?
D: Filter reads 63, cutoff reads 17, frequency maxed out. This machine won't take much more. Also a faint glow around the next corner. Switching off infrared. This is it, they're here. I can feel it - I can't explain. Proceeding towards the light source.
P: Proceed with caution, DV7. Thermos peaked.
D: I'm rounding the corner. The walls are glowing. Glowing and pulsing. I've never seen anything like it. Something running through them. There's something up ahead. An energy field. Some kind of portal. Static pulses resonating ... I feel strange. The walls are [??] towards the portal. There's no turning back. They're in here.
P: Dead Vent 7, Central Command has ordered you back to the ship. Fall out, DV7.
D: No. I must know what happened to the others.
P: Fall out, DV7. [??] order, fall out.
D: Sorry. I'm going in. I'm inside of it, now. [It's beautiful?] It's quite different. [?] I thought [???] It's peaceful [?and developed].. It's a part [?] -- as I am part of it. It spins me around. ?: By order of Central Command: Jump into hyperspace. Proceed to Dimea subsector. Directive One: Make contact with Phantasm and [?his class C vessel last seen] 48 hours ago. Directive Two: Scout Dimea Comsat and reopen intersystem communication between Dimea and Central Command. Directive Three: [?Force Recon, Dimea's silent controller to] investigate cause of communications blackout 10 hours ago. [The] ship is now under [?], under direct order from Central Command. Captain Keller will be taking orders from me until we are instructed to do otherwise. Secure systems, suit up. Captain Keller will [?force recon] of Dimea Battlestation. Medical officer will be enroute. [Red Light] military escort. Science Office Porter and I will investigate [the] status of Comsat, engage boosters, activate hardware [?circuitry] Set jump [towards the] DSS-7[23]. SOP: [?] Running [?] Enduring high levels of [?] It's the [?] Mission [?]
?1: This is a yellow alert situation. [?] Launch the shuttle. [?] Scan Comsat. [?] We [have] to see if any crew [managed to survive]
SOP: Running scan. No signs of life on [Comsat] dead. Transmitter's dead. No sign of damage to it. No life [signs.] It's decompressed - a floating coffin for anyone in it.
?1: Approach Comsat [?] Seraphin Flight Log. Take extra oxygen [we may use it] Activate scan [?]
SOP: Activating [?]. We're in and locked. Prepare for decompression in...
3: Comsat
SOP: ... five, four, three, two, one. Proceeding to Comsat Master Control.
SOP: [] decompression. Floating coffin, like I said. [] The electrical [systems] are down.
?1: What about auxillery?
SOP: Auxilleries are only accessible via Master Control. Going to have to [jam an] air shaft.
SOP: Activating auxillery power. Accessing Comsat [?]
SOP: That's odd. The order to decompress Comsat came from the Dimea Battlestation.
C Red light one, prepare to jack in.
4. Dimea Battlestation
RL1: I'm jacked.
C: Scan Silo access code northeast loading bay 116[9].
RL1: Scanning ... scanning. Code achieved at 3JXC-26709. We're in. Anything else, captain?
C: Start to check station operations.
RL1: Detecting a strong drain on the central power. Lights are down in the southern sectors. Otherwise, all systems are fully operational.
C: Jack out. Switch to infrared. Run motion filters.
RL1: Picking up on high levels of activity near the south entrance. Probably the power drain. Fall into combat formation. Proceed to silo master control. Thermos 100 percent.
SOP: Science Officer Porter to Team Recon. Do you copy?
5. Science Officer Porter to Team Recon
C: Loud and clear. Go ahead Porter.
SOP: Listen carefully. [Gates] just returned to the Seraphim to investigate a possible systems malfunction. I'm on the Comsat, contacting you from Master Control. I'm jacked in and getting massive amounts of data. Dimea's not only a battlestation, but a top secret cyberspace warfare research center. Secom's top minds were working on creating manifestations of the dead in our physical realm. This thing came through the tear of fabric of space and time.
C: What thing?
SOP: It feeds on human life and wants to spread to all systems. Don't listen to it. After what happened to the [dead vent], Secom equipped us with those ultrasonic shields. They may not be enough. It jacked into the others on Dimea and got everyone out up here. Not before someone blew up the transmitter. If it's out here with us it may be there with you. And if it gets to you it will all be over. It's [now or never?] [?] request permission [?] He thinks the nets are safe, but if we fix Comsat it will spread. You're in great danger. Don't listen to it Keller.
C: Prepare Shuttle for launch. I don't care what Secom says, I'm getting out of here.
SOP: Preparing Shuttle. State your position for shuttle countdown.
C: We're in the north entrance [quarter] silo master control. The walls are starting undulate, as if they're alive!
SOP: You must leave now.
C: I see her, did you see her in the Comsat?
SOP: Yes, and [I'm scanning?] again. Code achieved at []-28425. [] Picking up another [second one?] It's Gates! No!
