Yolande Uyttenhove (
July 25 ,1925 –February 2 ,2000 ) was a Belgiancomposer andpianist .A native of
Leuze , Uyttenhove studied music at theBrussels Conservatory , and gained in addition a licentiatediploma from theRoyal Academy of Music inLondon . She received numerous international awards for piano and composition, and placed in competitions inBarcelona ,Viotti , andLutèce . Her music owed much to that of the Romantics, especiallyGabriel Fauré , and borrowed frommedieval traditions as well; it was enhanced through modern harmonic structures. Her own name for this style of composition was "intemporel".References
