Shaan-Jing pipeline

The Shaan-Jing pipeline is a 918 km natural gas pipeline in China, which runs from Ordos Basin, Qingbian to Beijing. It starts from the gas purification plant in Changqing gas field, Jingbian county, Shaanxi province, and terminates in the Yamenkou terminal in Shijingshan district, Beijing.

The diameter of pipeline is 660 mm, designed pressure is 6.4 Mpa and annual capacity is after several upgradings 4 bcm. The pipeline includes three compressor stations and three underground storage facilities.

The construction of pipeline started in March 1996 and was completed on 10 September 1997. The Parallel Shaan-Jing Pipeline with annual capacity of 12 bcm was completed and put into operation on 20 July 2005. By the Ji-Ning branch the Parallel Shaan-Jing Pipeline is connected with the West-East Gas Pipeline.

The pipeline is operated by PetroChina.
