website=Fjellfly was founded by Snorre Sturla Kjetilson in 1954.
Its main hub was
Skien Airport, Geiteryggen . At the most the company operated 14 aircraft of various sizes for passenger, goods and charter flights (1965). Kjetilson was also known for his "pets" as the airport site housed a bear park with very "house-trained" bears (1958). This was a local tourist attraction and people travelled from nearby areas to view the airplanes and friendly bears. The company was a very small scale operation with Snorre's wife, Reidun, as the main ground crew. The couple also ran a restaurant at the site. In 1963 the company started commercial flights between Skien and Oslo followed by commercial flights between Skien and Hamar in 1967.
In 1972 the company went bankrupt.
The name of the company, Fjellfly, still lived on until 2005 under the leadership of Einar Andersen, a colleague of Kjetilson in another area of Norway.
