Since the modern trams open in
2004 was in mind of everybody the possibility to connect Trambaix and Trambesòs. In September of 2008 Jordi Hereu, the Mayor of Barcelona, in a tv programme said that in a nearly future (2011-2012) both trams will be connect by the Diagonal Avenue [ [http://www.bcn.cat Ajuntament de Barcelona] ] and nowGeneralitat de Catalunya (Catalonia 's government) is planning that project.See also
