In 2006, according to the then head of the BBC's Religion and Ethics department, the programs were of high production quality but would never by easy to place on mainstream TV because they're "not pure documentary, nor pure religion, but a mix of both". [ [http://www.nextwaveonline.com/articles.asp?id=149 Next Wave Online ] ] The views expressed obviously do not encompass the full range of possible Christian thought on issues and critics have argued that the shows try to slip Christian views in under the guise of current affairs. The producers argue that they're trying to redress a balance in terms of worldviews presented in mainstream media.
