Susan Duncan

Susan Duncan is an Australian author who lives at Lovett Bay in the picturesque Pittwater area of NSW.

Career

Her first book "Salvation Creek" is a biographical account of her journey after the death of the two most important men in her life, her husband and brother. The book documents her struggles as she copes with grief and a subsequent bout of breast cancer. It won the Australian Booksellers Association annual Nielsen BookData Booksellers Choice Award in 2007.

Before the death of her husband and brother, Duncan was a successful editor for the magazines, "Australian Women's Weekly" and "Woman's Day", and she previously had worked for "The Sun" newspaper in Melbourne. Family

Duncan grew up in Melbourne and met her first husband, Paul, a fellow journalist, in New York City. After 3 years, they moved to Duncan's hometown of Melbourne.

Breast cancer activist
