San Agustinillo

The small fishing village is located where the Sierra Madres del Sur meet the Pacific Ocean, located to the extreme west of the bay. Just immediately to the east of the village are palapas and east of that, a beach called Playa Aragón there is almost nothing built. The beach is encroached by hills and steep cliffs that make the building of large hotels and other resort features impossible. Instead, there are small establishments such as Rancho Cerro Largo, a small inn located on a hill overlooking the sea, small seafood restaurants serving locally-caught tuna, red snapper, sea bass, ceviche, shrimp and oysters, as well as two Italian restaurants run by Italian-Argentinian (La Termita) and Italian-German (Tio Nerone) couples.
