Wyllow was a Cornish
hermit saint andmartyr whose existence was reported byWilliam Worcester .Said to have been born in
Ireland , he was reputedly beheaded byMelyn ys Kynrede in theparish ofLanteglos , nearFowey . Supposedly, he then carried his head for half a mile to St Willow's Bridge, where a church was later built in his honour.Nicholas Roscarrock gives hisfeast day as3 June . His lifedates are unknown, though it is likely that he lived in the6th century .References
