PikeView High School

PikeView High School is a public high school serving grades 9-12, located in Mercer County, West Virginia. PikeView High School is administered by Mercer County Schools.

Background

Pikeview High School was established in 1994 after the consolidation of Lashmeet/Matoaka, Oakvale, Spanishburg and Athens High Schools. It is located near Princeton, WV, on Eads Mill Road.

Academics

PikeView High School is noted for its academic achievement. Test Scores are among the highest in the state of West Virginia. PikeView High School is a West Virginia School of Excellence.

Mascot and Colors

PikeView's colors are red, black, and white. The mascot is the panther.PikeView's mascot's name is Amos, an acronym composed of the first letter of the four schools which feed into PikeView: Athens, Matoaka, Oakvale, and Spanishburg.

Sports

PikeView High School is classified as AA. It currently offers the following programs: Cross Country, Track, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Football, Soccer, Marching Band, Golf,and Wrestling.
