Muhammad ibn Khwand (Arabic: محمد بن خواند‎) was an Iranian historian and Islamic scholar.[1] His full name was Muhammad ibn Khwand Shah ibn Mahmud.[2]

He had Ali Shir Navai, the celebrated minister of the last Timuried Sultan, Husayn Bayqarah as his patron, and he spent most of his life in the laters court. He wrote Rawdatu 's-safa on the Sultans request [1]
