Tara Stout

Tara Stout

Tara Stout is a comedian born who was born in Clapham, a suburb of London, in 1970.

Though she has been appearing on the comedy circuit in London for several years, she has recently achieved a certain tabloid notoriety. This is due to her being linked to Gary Lineker as his marriage was breaking up [http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/femail/article.html?in_article_id=399150&in_page_id=1879] , streaking naked through Soho when facing eviction and most recently being accused of stalking Crystal Palace Chairman Simon Jordan.

Stout also formerly worked as a reporter for the BBC however since leaving that position in around 2000 her career has been somewhat chequered. She recently served five weeks in Holloway Prison for breaching a harassment order, saying of the experience 'I didn't have such a bad time in prison, it was a good laugh. I had more fun in prison than I ever did working for the BBC.' She represented herself in her recent prosecution and was successful in avoiding going to prison again, instead being given a suspended sentence and 200 hours community service.

On 25th May 2007, it was reported that Stout was "on the run", having fled from court where she was due to appear for breaching her community service order.
