"Before the Rain" is the third album of Eternal and was released in 1997. The song "I Wanna Be the Only One" became Eternal's first number one hit in the United Kingdom.

The album also included the hit singles Don't You Love Me & Someday which was the theme to Disney's 1995 animated classic The Hunchback of Notre Dame

"Before the Rain" would also see for the very first time that both Kelle Bryan & Vernie Bennett would sing lead vocals alongside lead singer Easther Bennett and all three members would also co-write several of the songs on this album.

Promotion on this album would be halted after only two singles in favour of their Greatest Hits cd that was released only a few months after this, resulting in the album only going 1x Platinum in the U.K.
