Teuchezhsky District ( _ru. Теучежский райо́н; _ad. Теуцожь район) is an administrative and a municipal district, one of the seven in the Republic of Adygea, Russia. It is located in the western portion of the Republic and borders with the territory of the city of Krasnodar of Krasnodar Krai, Krasnodar Reservoir, and Krasnogvardeysky District in the north, Belorechensky District of Krasnodar Krai in the east and south-east, territory of the town of Goryachy Klyuch of Krasnodar Krai in the south, and Takhtamukaysky District in the west. The area of the district is 698.79 km²"Charter of the Municipal Formation of "Teuchezhsky District" adopted on July 17, 2002, as amended by the Resolution of the Council of People's Deputies "On New Edition of the Charter of the Municipal Formation of "Teuchezhsky District" #171 of June 16, 2005] . Its administrative center is the village ("aul") of Ponezhukay. District's population: 19,951 (2002 Census); 21,929 (1989 Census). Population of Ponezhukay accounts for 16.9% of the district's population.

The district was established on August 5, 1924. The aul of Ponezhukay served as its administrative center until 1963. In 1963–2000, the town of Adygeysk was the administrative center.
